About Scot
Finding the funny in life's absurdities.
I've spent my career navigating the worlds of advertising and entertainment, where larger-than-life personalities and untamed egos have provided a lifetime supply of comedic inspiration. Fortunately for me... they rarely disappoint.
When I'm not writing my next novel, you'll usually find me over on Substack, sharing stories drawn from my own life—because apparently living through them once wasn't enough.
Life handed me emotional Wi-Fi, zero spam filters, and an early awareness that most adults were either improvising with remarkable confidence or quietly unraveling behind closed doors. While other kids collected baseball cards, I collected moods, contradictions, awkward silences, and moments that only became funny years later.
On Substack, I explore what it means to grow up—and grow older—as a gay empath. No mysticism. No martyrdom. No self-pity. Just honest observations, a healthy dose of humor, and occasional proof that bad hair days eventually become good stories.
If you've ever walked into a room and felt the emotional weather shift, sensed the truth before it was spoken, or carried feelings that never really belonged to you, you're in good company. You may recognize a little of yourself here.
This isn't about feeling less.
It's about standing a little steadier inside what you feel... and knowing when it's finally okay to set some of it down.
I'm Scot Rogers, and I'm glad you're here.
Now...
Let's find something to laugh about.
